Cooking the Super Busy Cook Way
SBC Time Saver Tips + SBC Bento Tips = The Super Busy Cook Way
Every Super Busy Cook recipe has a Super Busy Cook Tip (SBC Tip) which will give you great shortcuts to save you prep time, cooking time, or clean up time! In addition, each recipe has an SBC Bento Tips which are suggestions for how to bento the meals for super quick meals for later!
Bento boxes are AMAZING!!
I really wish I could take credit for them.
According to Wikipedia, "Bento is a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional bento holds rice, fish or meat, with pickled or cooked vegetables, usually in a box-shaped container. Containers range from disposable mass-produced to hand-crafted lacquerware."
So what does this mean to us? It means that by using the Japanese art of preparing single serving meals combined with smart meal preparation, we can cook just once and have meals for several days. That's right- cook once, clean once and eat many times! Join the Super Busy Cook tribe!
Below are my favorite reusable bento boxes. They are top rack dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe.
